Talitha Kumaresan, MBA is a fourth-year medical student at Albany Medical College in NY and will receive her MD with Distinction in Health Systems Analysis in 2023. She earned her MBA in Healthcare Management from Clarkson University and BS in biology and economics from Union College. Growing up abroad in Switzerland and Japan, she experienced health disparities that shaped her interests in health economics, social determinants of health, and healthcare management. She is excited to pursue a career in otolaryngology, with ongoing research projects in head and neck oncology, laryngology, and gender diversity. She recently published a case report on spontaneous tumor regression in a peer-reviewed journal. Talitha is passionate about mentorship and medical education and served as a member of the curriculum review committee for third year clerkships. She is involved with several mentorship programs for teenage mothers, hospitalized pediatric patients, and incoming medical students. She enjoys traveling, hiking in the Adirondack mountains, skiing and baking.
