Dr. Julia Kerolus is a facial plastic surgeon and adjunct assistant professor at the Univrsity of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). Dr. Kerolus earned her medical degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine. She went on to complete Otolaryngology residency at UIC. She then completed an American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery fellowship in Beverly Hills where she received specialized training in complex facial nerve reanimation surgery. She returned to UIC and joined the faculty as the Director of the Facial Nerve Center. She has since moved to private practice in Atlanta but maintains her role as an adjuct assistant professor at UIC, working with the department and residents. Her research is focused on the treatment of facial paralysis, quality improvement in patient care and worldwide healthcare delivery.
