Nazineen Kandahari is a fourth-year medical student in the Program in Medical Education for the Urban Underserved at UCSF. She received her M.S. from UC Berkeley, where she also completed her undergraduate training with honors. Nazineen will be completing her residency training in Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Nazineen’s research expertise is in immigrant health, community-based participatory research, and health inequities. In her free time, Nazineen is mentoring underrepresented students and writing poetry.
