In 2019, Dr. Chad Zender started his clinical and administrative work at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine as a Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology along with several leadership roles including the Director of Head and Neck Surgery in the Department of Otolaryngology, and now Chief Operating Officer Physician Network. His research interests include developing biomarkers in head and neck cancer and toxicity reduction in the retreatment/salvage setting. His clinical practice involves ablative and reconstructive head and neck surgery, endocrine surgery and minimally invasive approaches to the head and neck. He also has worked to develop a international collaboration with the head and neck program at Makerere University/Uganda Cancer Institute, led by Dr. Jeff Otiti, in Kampala, Uganda where he leads a team twice annually for surgical outreach camps.
