Alex Darras is a current third year medical student at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. He completed his undergraduate studies at Sewanee: The University of the South where he graduated summa cum laude. Throughout his time at Sewanee, he was a member of the football team while also serving on the Student Title IX committee and as a Senior Interviewer for the Admission Committee. He spent his gap year prior to medical school living in Washington D.C. working as a medical scribe at a clinic designed to promote health equity in the area. During medical school, he has served as the representative for his class in the Student Surgical Society, is a peer mentor, and currently the East Liaison for the Student Orthopedic Association.
