Taylor L. Powell is a native of Bossier City, LA and recieved her Bachelor of Science degree from Northwestern State University where she graduated with Honors distinction, she also attending Mississippi College where she recieved her Master of Science degree in Biomedical sciences. She is a current medical student at Louisiana State University School of Medicine in Shreveport where she serves as Co-President of the student-led Otolaryngology Interest Group, Director of Volunteers for the Student Run Free Clinic, and several other organizations rooted in service and the progression of medical education. Taylor has a strong interest in general otolaryngology, but also pediatric otolaryngology. In addition to her academic duties, Taylor currently conducts research under the mentorship of Dr. Karuna Dewan, studying the correlation between dysphagia and benign thyroid goiter, and Dr. Gauri Mankekar, studying the development of sequalae following temporal bone fractures.
