Raj C. Dedhia, MD MSCR is currently Associate Professor and Director of Sleep Surgery & CPAP Alternatives Clinic at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA USA. Dr. Dedhia is board-certified in both sleep medicine and otolaryngology. He has a unique background having completed an accredited fellowship in sleep medicine & surgery at the University of Washington, residency in otolaryngology/head & neck surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and a Masters in Clinical Research from the University of Pittsburgh.
Dr. Dedhia performs the full gamut of sleep surgery including drug-induced sleep endoscopy, complex functional nasal surgery, soft tissue reconstruction, hypoglossal nerve stimulation and skeletal surgery. As Site Director of the Sleep Medicine & Surgery Fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania, he regularly trains sleep otolaryngology fellows.
At present, Dr. Dedhia receives grant support from the National Institutes of Health. His research interests include upper airway pathophysiology in sleep-disordered breathing as well as the cardiovascular effects of sleep-disordered breathing.
