María E. Méndez Valentín is a fourth-year medical student at the Universidad Central del Caribe with a bachelor's degree in Cellular Molecular Biology from the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus. Currently, she is applying a Psychiatry residency in Child and Adolescents. Maria has gained research experience through her work at VA Caribbean Healthcare System and Massachusetts General Hospital, focusing on areas such as primary care and cardiology. Furthermore, she serves as co-principal investigator at the Universidad Central del Caribe, conducting research on the long-term effects of COVID-19. Her research background, knowledge and dedication can greatly contribute to evidence-based healthcare and patient care.
