PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: Program
Description: Endoscopic Pituitary Surgery is a common procedure in academic and community practice. Since the expanded endoscopic approach was first described, there have been many modifications to address the nasal morbidity of this procedure. Recent years have seen multiple publications on techniques to improve patient's quality of life, reduce crusting and preserve olfaction. This presentation aims to highlight recent advances in endoscopic pituitary surgery and describe potential strategies to reduce nasal morbidity.
Goals: 1. To examine potential nasal morbidity associated with endoscopic pituitary surgery. 2. To discuss best evidence for surgical modifications that reduce nasal morbidity. 3. To demonstrate technical aspects of a functional endoscopic approach to the pituitary.
